Your father is one of two of the the most amazing men I have ever known (my father included) and from stories he has told of his father I see where Louis gets his values and he has passed them on to you. May God Bless our veterans and those who actively serve.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7566778230970156239.post-66527659076791430692010-11-12T16:31:59.392-06:002010-11-12T16:31:59.392-06:00I see where you get your talent for writing and yo...I see where you get your talent for writing and your very sentimental side. Y...Murray, thanks so much for posting that letter. Your father and grandfather have been very important parts of my life, since I was a teenager. I first met your father when I was a young college cadet and he was home in between tours in Viet Nam, he was "bigger than life" and to this day he continues to be one of my heroes. Your grandfather guided my views about business and handling people in ways that influence my decisions every day. I have never seen that letter before, so I really appreciate the insight into how early that character that I witnessed in his later years developed.

Uncle JohnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7566778230970156239.post-64354106173574324512010-11-10T14:46:45.271-06:002010-11-10T14:46:45.271-06:00Believing in something bigger than yourself is som...Believing in something bigger than yourself is something you do not find in many people these days. Sad, but true.

A HUGE "Thank You" goes out to all men and women who have served and put their lives on the line for something bigger than themselves. Thank you for your service, your dedication and your patriotism. Our counrty is a better place because of all of you!

Nice of you to share that with us, Murray.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7566778230970156239.post-43096143592831357682010-11-10T09:03:32.140-06:002010-11-10T09:03:32.140-06:00My father, grandfather and great-grandfather all s...My father, grandfather and great-grandfather all served in the military during times of war. They were all brave men, who believed in something much bigger than themselves. My father told me that when he first stepped foot in Vietnam in 1968, he wasn't sure he would ever see the states again. His prayer was that my mother would be able to carry on without him. He came home and carried on. So many brave young men (and women) have died throughout the history of this nation, and it is sad that we only stop to honor them twice a year (maybe three times, if you count July 4th). None of us would enjoy the freedoms that seem so routine to us had it not been for the incredible sacrifices of people much braver than I. Thank you veterans. Thank you dad.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7566778230970156239.post-18414691015560206462010-11-10T08:30:38.647-06:002010-11-10T08:30:38.647-06:00Whether your "Pa" meant to sound heroic ...Whether your "Pa" meant to sound heroic or not, he was.
His character has passed to you and you will pass it to Luke.

I am proud to know you Louis Murray Newman, III.BLACK INKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03806198898618859706noreply@blogger.com
