Congratulations to all the Pre-Commits who passed the Texas Bar Exam today!
There is nothing quite as miserable as those three to four months waiting for the results, and today should be one of the happiest days of your life.
Although as you progress in the Office you will eventually get to know all of your fellow prosecutors, there will always be a higher level of camaraderie and friendship with the ones who are in your "starting class" with you. They will be the ones that you will celebrate your victories with, drink after your losses with, and grow up in the Office with. The longer you stay at the Office, the more they will become a second family to you.
You've got some great times ahead of you.
Enjoy them.
And congratulations, again, for getting that damn test in the rear-view mirror.

Congratulations, to all. I certainly remember getting my results and the excitement of passing. Wishing you the best.

Has anyone ever checked to see if the Troll actually passed the BAR?
We're just sorry we can't pay you. Our lobbyist needs the money.
How many didn't pass?

I don't think that lawyers had to sit for the Bar back then.
Any truth to the scuttlebutt that Pat Lykos was the first female lawyer to be licensed in the great state of Texas?
Anon 2:48:
You are correct.
A Wikipedia search reveled that Patsy Lykos studied law as an apprentice to an Illinois attorney in 1896 and was licensed to practice law in Texas by reciprocity in 1904.
Not only was Patsy the first female licensed attorney in Texas she is currently the oldest living Republican.
And there you have it....
Hey how old is Judge Pat anyway? I heard the old hack turned 82 last February?
Secondly, does anyone know her favorite brand of cigs? I would like to get her a carton or 2 for the holidays.
Thirdly, if I want to be a judge like Rachel Palmer but my asthma flares up something terrible when I'm in close proximity to Judge Pat, who would be the go-to-guy to kiss up to between Roger, Hannah and Wee Man Jimmy?

Not congratulations but condolences as you now must prosecute to pay the bills. It really sucks!
