Worser than Worst

What's the only thing more fun than standing in a line wrapped around the building at the CJC?

Doing it in below freezing temperatures.

That just ain't right.

Commissioner Court abhors spending any money on their state mandated responsibilities of Criminal Justice.
They love, however, spending your tax dollars on Soccer Stadiums, Dog Walking Parks, and Soapbox Derby Tracks.
Face it folks, the politicians hate you all and your profession.

I love dog walking parks.

Even worse, imagine showing up to court and finding that the judge stayed in bed.

Hopefully, the Houston will be more on the ball tomorrow.

Murray, is the rumor true that Chuck showed up with Kerry at Bobby Adam's funeral?

In about 2007 Rosenthal offerred the County several million dollars (whatever was the full cost of 3 new elevators) from his discretionary funds to construct 3 new elevators on the southeast side of the CJC. They turned him down.

Lykos offered Comm. Ct. three cases of Jack Daniels, Four cartons of Marlboro Lights and Palmer's first born "Hooper" for more elevators.... They turned her down.

Something else that's awesome is being told not to come in to work at the CJC, but that you'll have to use your own time (vacation, comp, etc.) for the day off. Thanks, guys!

Well, at least that several million dollars went to good use:
1. enlarging Patty's personal office
2. knocking out walls and remodeling the 6th floor Executive Offices
3. High dollar wood floors
4. fancy chairs & desks
5. lots of water coolers

Patty says to all those folks freezing in the cold: "Let them eat cake..."

Have they ever considered putting a metal detector outside each court room in order to avoid these lines?

PUTTING METAL DETECTORS OUTSIDE THE COURTROOM TO GAIN ENTRY IS LIKE REALLY (DUMBA**) THINKING. THAT'S LIKE SAYING QUANELL X WILL VOTE REPUBLICAN AND DRINK COFFEE WITH GOV.RICK PERRY

I don't think Harris County fared much better. I guess one day an employee will have to die or be seriously injured trying to come to work in inclement weather before they get their act together.
