For those of you looking for something to do tomorrow, Harris County's Greatest Band Comprised of Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys, will be getting together to play some music.
That's right, Death by Injection, featuring Bill Delmore, Scott Durfee, Doug O'Brien, Glenn Gotschall, David Mitchum, and Hal Kennedy will be playing at The Press Box Bar tomorrow (Thursday, March 24th) between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The address is across from Minute Maid Park at 209 Jackson Street, between Congress and Franklin.
If you're still Downtown after work, drop by and listen to the guys play.

All of those guys are great guys, but Durfee is the true musical genius in that outfit. He thinks on a different level than other mere mortals.
Once, at an obscure Austin location, I heard him play "Jenny Jenny 867-5309" and I thought I was at a Tommy Tutone concert in the 80's. It was just like the record!
Durfee has that boogie woogie in his dna somewhere. Just listen to him play the keys and you'll agree!
Kennedy is no slouch either. He's got that same DNA. Plus, who else could keep all those prosecutors and lawyers in line, rhythmically and otherwise, but a real poh-lice HPD retired Homicide Detective.
And Mitcham needs to write some more songs and put out a new CD or some itunes. It's been years since their debut.

Is the name of this band Chronicle approved?
Considering there were only eight death sentences in Texas last year, perhaps they should change their name to "LWOP." It would be more timely.
Ain't been the same since Johnson and Clemmer left for Austin. They need to do another reunion show.
