Guys, thanks for the defense of the PDO. It was unclear whether Mr. Oliver was disparaging my office or whether he even knew who we are. He finally said we had a couple of good lawyers. I am somewhat worried that I may have hired folks that meet his qualifications.
Mr Oliver seems to be the man for the job.he will fit right in at 1201.With all the known and unknown things that have happened there in the past few years,he may be a breath of fresh air.Murray,he needs to hire you to make sure the office is run in the right ways and just keep Lloyd out of view.Murray for 1st assistant.
Lloyd Oliver was absolutely offensive. He's a bumbling idiot.
Anon 7:04--
Perry Mason? Is that you??
At least Oliver showed up with his shoes on.One recent guest was on with no shoes. Not a good way to portray a defense lawyer. The shoeless guy was the joke.Being a lawyer is a serious job and needs to be taken as such.Murray, you always look sharp like you mean business.
Gosh! Or, as Murray summed it up, "I got nuthin'."
Interesting points:
In profile, it sometimes seems that Todd's lips aren't moving. That took on greater significance when I noticed that he wasn't sitting on anyone's lap. I finally realized it's the beard.
What was Murray really saying when, in defending the PDO, he said to Mr. Oliver, "If you read the newspaper, you'll see . . ."?
Is it just me, or does Mr. Oliver look just a little like a similarly humorous Mr. Hardy?
Ain't nothin but a "bread crumb sin." watching the video is both painful and entaining at the same time.
wow. that was eye opening. Really, how can anyone take him seriously after a comment like the "teaching them to box better"... This will soon become a classic. Thanks for sharing. In this contact sport called Harris County Politics, this was a breath of fresh air!!
I want to go to a CLE where they teach me to "Be nice". Where do I sign up for that???
Lloyd is the Harold Stassen of Haris County Judicial politics..my apologies to the late Mr. Stassenllbesio
that's gold Jerry, gold!

I already know who "Oliver's" 1st Assistant will be:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stan_Laurel
This fellow, from an outside of Houston lawyer's perspective, has no plan whatsoever to improve the system; he didn't seem to be prepared to go on this television show. Would he have the respect necessary to change anything or anyone deserved of change at the Harris County DA's office?
We really need a strong person like Lloyd Oliver. He is the perfect candidate to be our district attorney. He is the change we need in our county.
Yes, Mr. Oliver, if we teach women how to box better we will put an end to domestic violence.
As a DV/SA advicate, this video causes great concern at how the justice system fews our silent victims.

Republican was a dirty word in the state of TEXAS? Really?
