Two prosecutors die: You post.

Bomb at a marathon and a plant explosion killing even more: You don't post.

Priorities...

10:50,

Don't be an idiot.

I write about things going on in the Harris County Criminal Justice world. You won't find me talking about the Jodi Arias or North Korea here, either.

What happened in Boston and in West makes me sick to my stomach, but I have no specialized knowledge on terrorism or plant disasters. I write about what I know.

It has nothing to do with priorities.

Where have you been lately? Everything okay?

"I write about things going on in the Harris County Criminal Justice world."

Hasse and McLelland were from Harris County?

Murray Newman said...

Right. The murder of State of Texas prosecutors had no bearing on the world of Harris County whatsoever, because it occurred in another county.

What about the prosecutor who became a judge and got arrested today? We heard some of that behavior is going on in Harris county. Is that just a rumor?

Not that I've seen or heard of from any of the defense bar. Everybody seems to be going so much better now that Lykos and the Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight packed up their carnival and left town.

Take off your rosé-colored glasses, Murray. Things are not "so much better." We have 5 mean girls in charge at the DA's Office and if you haven't heard of the issues, you need to listen a little better. When stupid ad questionable moves were done under Lykos, you quickly pointed those out. Stupid and questionable moves have been made again and you're silent. I understand that you have friends there, but TRY to be somewhat objective.

You are so right! Things are not good. Come on next election.

In every administration, there will be personnel moves that don't sit well with some of the Office. Unless you are talking about the systematic bullying of fellow prosecutors and a paranoid policy that put self-preservation over everything else, I think we are still much better off than the previous Administration.

For those of you who are waiting for the Lykos Bus to come back around the CJC, however, I think you're in for a long wait.

I don't think the Anderson Administration is going to be creating the monthly scandals that Lykos and Leitner gave us.
