In Case You Missed It . . .

Phil Archer did a piece on the Ceremony Honoring the Prosecutors and Investigators that Pat Lykos fired for completely political reasons.

Once again, I nearly did a spit take as Lykos said the firings weren't political.

I guess if she keeps lying to herself and the camera, maybe she thinks somebody will believe it eventually.

A lie spoken often enough becomes truth to the ignorant and/or apathetic. Welcome to the basic Lykos philosophy....you ain't seen nothing yet brothas and sistas!!!

Q: How do you spell fucking liar?
A: T-R-O-L-L aka Liekos/Leitner Inc.

I am really ashamed. I always dreamed about being an ADA for Harris County. Turns out I was a fool. This is all such a shock! I am NOT going to that women's corination on January 1st....I'm sending my resume out on the 2nd.

If LIEkos is our leader where the hell are we headed?

Ken-You're fired.

Truth, Justice and the American Way....you're all fired as well!

Liekos told me that she was upset with the ceremony. She is not the sharpest tool. A tool no less though.

Pat, we are not your friend. We didn't vote for you. Don't kid yourself. Just because Donna Goode will kiss your dirty ass doesn't mean we will.

I just watched Archer's piece. Best part was Liekos. What an idiot. She said she doesn't know why they were honored.

Troll, you are full of shit.

With all of the negative feelings clearly coming from people who work in the DA's office, how is it that this woman was able to pull off a win in the election? It seems to me more folks should have voted for Bradford as a vote against Lykos.

Bradford was so damaged from his tenure as Police Chief he couldn't win. Democrats should have chosen someone better.

Liekos' terrible career was a distant memory. Pat hasn't had a real job in years.

Keep in mind, Liekos won in a runoff.

anon 10:07,
It was kinda like who would you want to babysit your kid....Charley Manson or Jeffery Dalmer?

ANON 1038,
We can thank the blue hairs and corrupt politicians for that one. What a clusterfuck all the way around. The baby prosecutors have no idea what could have been--I'm most sad for them. Leitner and his troll are not the kind of role models they deserve.

I was at the awards ceremony yesterday. It was nicely done by Ken. I know he has gotten some flack but it was a classy job. It was clear he didn't think much of the new administration. One thing that was interesting was all the suck-ups that were there. Donna Goode was there, she is disgusting. I sort of feel like a jerk for staying. These people are sick.

Alright, now you're starting to cross over into bitter.

So do we have to be a member of the Harris Co bar to vote or can we vote from afar by virtue of just being a fellow prosecutor?

Unlike the Coronation, for this poll you:
1) don't have to attend if you don't want to;
2) don't have to dress for court; AND
3) don't have to RSVP if you want to bring people from outside the Office.

Ugh

Murray, you have lots of astute comments from people who know what they're talking about.

If only the voters of Harris County had been so informed.

I loved the end of the Click2Houston piece. "Together they represented 233 years of experience."

Murray,

Any word on new moves? I heard they are supposed to be coming out with some again.

Anon 3:21,
I haven't heard anything about what was going on at the Office other than Lykos putting her name up on everything faster than an 8th grader with a new set of spiral notebooks.
If there were any additions or changes to the Flow Chart from a few weeks ago, I'm not aware of them.
Anybody else care to enlighten us on that?

a new flow chart will be announced in about 30-45 days after some ongoing investigations are done.yes, there are some moles here.

Anon 5:53 pm,
Thanks for the info! I wonder if the ongoing investigations are targeting political enemies. Can't say that would surprise me.

Don't trust Donna Goode.

Nobody can answer the question, just what is Peppermint Patty's connection to Judge Emmet and CC?
(She was his "Special Assistant")

Lykos worked for Eckels, not Emmet. Don't blame Emmet for any of this. He inherited her.

All the more proof that this whole affair was orchestrated by CC to keep it in the family.
They just did it again for the Taxman's old job.

And Rosenthal turned a blind eye to potential kickbacks given to Eckels, just like he turned a blind eye to those received by Thomas. Now she's in charge of letting other county officials off.

And the wheel goes round and round.
