There appears to be a new addition at the front desk on the 4th floor of the D.A.'s Office.

Congratulations Murray "De Facto DA" Newman. You da man....I hope Leitner and Lykos continue to read your blog for guidance.
Now, thanks to you, we're on track with the ORs.

Well, I think it was a pretty common sense idea that needed to just be articulated sooner.
I'm still awaiting word on my reserved parking spot in front of the building.

Murray,
Common sense ideas in a field in which you have EXPERIENCE is often gibberish to those who lack the requisite knowledge; so don't discount your ideas so quickly.

Rock star parking, however, is a field where Leitner and Lykos actually have great experience and knowledge and where you are grossly lacking....so don't hold your breath on that one.

What are the rules on when the DAs can deny my request for an OR?

QUESTION: Are only certain courts allowing the release of ORs? I requested an OR from the 314th court and was told that no offense reports were being released from that court. I was told that I would have to go to the DAs office and request the file and make my own notations, but that no copies of the actual OR could be made. Whats going on?

There are different rules governing cases involving juvenile defendants, like the 314th handles. There is increased confidentiality across the board.
