Congratulations to my good friend, Joey DeBruyn, who is celebrating his 25th year with Harris County today.
Joey is the court coordinator in the 337th District Court under Judge Herb Ritchie, but I first met him many moons ago when I was the Felony Two in the 177th District Court under Judge Davies. Given the fact that we were both damn good lookin' bald guys with goatees, people were always confusing us with each other.
Joey is one of the best coordinators in the building. It doesn't matter if he is in the middle of the worst day of the year, he remains polite, professional and cheerful under all circumstances. In a job that is as hectic as a coordinator's, it's amazing he's still smiling after all this time!
Congratulations, my friend, on a job well done!

Congratulations Joey!!!! I remember when you were Poe's clerk and I was the Chief. Those were great times with jail bracelets and all!! You are a true icon at the CJC and long before at 301. What great memories I will always have and what great memories will come with the future!! Stay true!!
If more people were a sweet as Joey, the world would be a better place. Love you, Joey! Congratulation!

Joey is a great person and friend to know. Very few people as I will say have their shit together, good luck in the years ahead...
Joey is a great guy and one of the most pleasant ccordinators at the courthouse. Congrats and please don't retire Joey!
Joey truly is one of the nicest and most professional co-ordinators in the CJC. There's a sizeable handful of other co-ordinators (not to mention clerks, judges, and attorneys) down there with serious attitude problems. I have one piece of advice for them: look at Joey, that's what a happy person looks and acts like, try and be like him.
