I know election results are coming in but . . .

. . . I find this story to be much more interesting.

Somehow, somewhere, I'm betting Bill Exley is involved in this some way.

The elections results of 2008 are finally apparently coming in to roost, notwithstanding the "head" blogger's kind words in the past for Kevin Fine -Kevin Fine a/k/a a district judge elected by the Democratic machine of many seemingly apparent morons, many of whom have unfairly attacked an Aggie precinct chairman, held the death penalty unconstitutional according to the Comical today. Socialist, communist, prevaricator, Marxist have all fairly described Obama and members of his party. What is the best way to describe Fine as a memeber of that same party? I will leave that up to that segment of the assumedly rational crowd that populate some of this blog. As a very learned attorney, Joseph Moss, however, once said; Are you of contempt of this court, to which the response was I have tried not to be. That seems particularly appropriate tonight.

Joseph Moss also said it was wrong for judges to come straight from the d a office to the bench. he said the best judges have life experiences besides sending people to jail. If so these judges are simply a link to the prosecution team. He was a smart man.

Getting back to the election results...

I'll be following the campaigns for the juvenile courts very closely from afar. As a former Caseworker with CPS (5 years), I was appalled by the back slapping, cronyism and lack of ethics among the Judges. Although, Judge Schneider seems to have stepped away from this during his tenure, Judge Philips and the GOP candidate for the 313th, Glen Devlin are one in the same. Judge Philips is one who puts ideology above the best interests of the kids, outgoing Judge Shelton meddles too much with the CPS higher ups, not to mention his own scandals, and Mr. Devlin is just too much an insider with all that. The Dem nominee for 313th on the other hand is someone who has been given a number of appointments in the past.

I'm all for getting rid of the partisanship in judicial races, but this will never happen. There are too many yellow dog Republicans that will never let that pass. Any proposal would not even make it out of the respective committees in the Lege.

Mark my word, Bill White will be the next Governor of our great state! I'm glad that one party rule in this state will be coming to an end in this state.
