Channel 13 Tonight: UPDATED

Looks like you might want to tune in tonight to Channel 13 for Wayne Dolcefino's latest report.

From the teaser during the six o'clock news, it looks like he'll be examining whether or not there is a conflict of interest in asking Pat Lykos' District Attorney's Office to investigate the Harris County Attorney's Office, due to Nick Lykos being a high-ranking member of the County Attorney's Office.

Here is the link to Dolcefino's story.

And it IS a big deal when the District Attorney's Office is acting in collusion with the County Attorney's Office to unapologetically refuse to comply with the law.

Lykos needs to resign before December 31st.  At this point, you have to wonder why she wouldn't.

Why doesn't that surprise me? I'm sure that there will be more to come.

How can you expect the Lykos administration to prosecute someone for changing governmental records when they urge their employees to change governmental records. Anyone remember what they told Shirley Cornelius to do with her time sheet?

Just a question for Pat, I read anon 10:14 and I just wonder how sad it is to have Don Hooper as your only supporter?

Remember when politicians did everything possible to hide their crooked and unethical actions?

Pat Lykos and her minions make no attempt to hide anything.

They commit their sleazy and underhanded activities right out there in the open for the world to see. Incredible.

Just a couple of things to consider . . .

It remains interesting that Nick Lykos, in his role as Inspector General, provided a detailed and remarkably graphic review of Edwin Harrison's situation and touched on a connection to Commissioner Lee's office. Although it would later be diluted nearly beyond recognition by someone else, Nick's report clearly indicated criminal violations that warranted prosecution. I'm not convinced that any conflict has so much to do with Nick.

Contrary to your statement, I'd have to wonder why she would resign. Staying does little or no additional damage, she receives continuing pay, she has an opportunity to spend down discretionary funds under the guise of being helpful and magnanimous, and she is forging alliances with groups that will give her a post-departure platform from which to pontificate and/or saddle her replacement with relationships that cannot be easily shed without offending some segment of the community.

Finally, she submitted her retirement. Good Bye Mrs K!

Whose Mrs. K. ? Any other retirements and/or resignations to report from our Leadership Team?

"Mrs. K" is Lt. Karen O'Bannion, I guess. A very nice person and a tremendous investigator.

So, did you hear that Houston City Councilidiot Helen Brown may be under investigation by the DA's office for changing timesheets for some of her staffers. If anyone knows how to investigate timesheet changers, it would be those who change timesheets.
