Rumors Are Flying

In case you hadn't noticed, I've refrained from doing any posts on the upcoming Judicial Elections of 2010 so far. The reason for that is that the races aren't closed until the first part of January and who knows what could happen in the next two to three weeks?

A clear example of how things can change in a heartbeat happened today when the Assistant District Attorney Denise Bradley (formerly Nasser) announced that she was moving from the race for County Court at Law # 3 to run for the bench of the 262nd District Court.

Accompanying the notice was the announcement that Judge Mike Anderson who is the current judge of the 262nd was not going to run again in 2010.

And rumors started going crazy at that point.

People are posting comments on my other posts speculating that Judge Anderson will be beginning an early campaign for District Attorney.

My answer to that?

I have no freaking clue. I'm sure that me stating that I have no clue will do absolutely nothing to stem the rumors that will probably swirl on the blog, but until something gets corroborated, I wouldn't put too much stock in anything yet.

But it sure as hell is an interesting thought, isn't it?

Murray--Why dont you run for one of these benches. You would be excellent. So would Earl.

Who is going to runa against Don Jackson if he is acquitted ? And who is running for court 13 now?

Well if Mike Anderson runs for DA in 2012 along with Kelly, either one would be a great replacement for Lykos and the Gang. The only worry would be splitting the vote and a Lykos runoff. Let's just hope we've all learned our lesson about runoff voter apathy.

Anon 5:58AM, are you kidding me? Do you know Earl Musick? He couldn't judge his way out of a paper bag!!

Hate to correct the post but Denise was running for Court 13 NOT Court 3. Cary Hart has been and still is running for Court 3.

Ready to support Mike for DA. I will be volunteering lots of time to help rid Harris County of Lykos and her cronies. But a problem for CCCL 13, that leaves Rachel Palmer running for CCCL 13. Some one has to enter that race. Did Rusty really endorse Palmer?

Anon 9:24,
There is no way in Hell Rusty would support someone like Rachael Palmer.
No doubt someone needs to step up and run against Rachael Palmer in the Republican primary.
If Kelly doesn't run in '12 I'll be right next to you supporting Mike--Lykos has to be defeated.
Politics sucks.

He couldn't judge his way out of a paper bag!!

Translation: He made a ruling that I believe cost me a conviction in his court.

Now that is a candidate I can support- Judge Mike Anderson. If he runs and wins I would consider coming back to the DA's Office!

Any truth to the rumor that JBH is so mad he's talking about coming out of retirement?

Is Judge Helm running in #1 again? What's the latest on the recusal motion?

Any inside scoop from Don Jackson's trial?

Kent Schaffer has hinted at running.

Schaffer ought to be able to retire after all he will make on Stanford? Is Magdison going to run?

As someone posted above, Cary Hart is running for Jackson's bench. There are 3 others also suppose to be running. Cary is the most qualified though.

Rachel Palmer's web site claims Rusty Hardin and Carolyn Farb have endorsed her. So Rusty is supporting Lykos too?

I like the way he talks. He doesn't split hairs and gets to the point. How many enemies does this Rachel Palmer have and why so many?

He doesn't split hairs

No, he's straight-forwardly stupid.
