Excellent article.
I’m sure Pat Lykos is relieved that Kelly Siegler is conflicted out to be appointed Special Prosecutor. I would pay good money to watch that blood bath. As Richard M. Nixon once said: “I gave ‘em a sword. And they stuck it in, and they twisted it with relish.”
As this scandal unfolds we might expect to see evidence of abuse of process, obstruction of justice, official oppression, misappropriation of funds, retaliation, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, restraint of trade, Brady violations, fraud, cronyism, false imprisonment, dereliction of duty.......and all from the chief law enforcement officer for Harris County!
And to think Chuck Rosenthal was run out of the same office for lies about cheating on his wife and sending stupid emails.
Siegler replacing Lykos as the elected DA on the 6th floor will be sweet enough.
The 6th floor has blocked office computers from reading the comments on this blog. How North Korean of them.
Well, thank goodness they can't come confiscate my phone. Oh, wait. Never say never.

Wow! How panicked must they be?
Memo to all ADA's: If called to 6th floor, bring a recording device and trust nodoby.
We all have smart phones. Seriously, who would be dumb enough to try to read this on their work computer???
Anon 4:24,
Uhh....Rage is still using the Harris County Technology Center server which still subjects him to Freedom of Information Act requests regardless what type of hardware he uses.
If you "borrow" a battery from work and use up the power, a subsequent returning of the used battery does not absolve you from theft......whether you have a Smart phone or not, be careful using a government server to avoid exposure. Rage you can ignore this warning since you're such a bad ass without ass.

Rage is not a county employee.
Heads up> HR sent out policy on "Electronics and Communications". If smart phones are used to access county e-mail, your phone is no longer 'private'. Could someone more savvy than I explain this? Thank you Murray for keeping it real.
My department, and I imagine all County departments, received an email today with a link for employees to review a presentation on Harris County's electronic communications/computer usage policy. Interesting timing...
Where is Nick Lykos?
I'll translate this awesome new policy for you.
Lykos = too cheap to give you a Blackberry, so you have to use your own smart phone for your email. But if you don't get your email on your smart phone, you can't do your job.
So... Your phone is belong to Lykos! Hooray!
I think they just make this bull up as they go along.
Quite a few of those 6th floor winners are "remote office" pros. Start with their phones, Mr. Special Prosecutor.

Maybe not good buddy but he sure as Hell has user access to the Harris County Technology Center server. And maybe if had access to a "partner" he wouldn't be so angry.

I'm not confirming or denying this, but I just want to know what evidence of this you have. Seriously, lay it all out there and maybe you and your ADA booty buddies can put the pieces together and track me down.
Rage
I have a question: Why does our elected DA--the one who hasn't tried a case since she was elected DA...oh, wait...the same elected DA who has NEVER tried a case--need to go to Hawaii for a drug prosecution conference? What's she doing--trying to learn a few trial tactics so that she can come back and try a crack rock case in state jail court so that she can finally say that she's tried a case? No? I didn't think so. Perhaps it's just a junket for Patsy. Perhaps she ought to just stay there--or maybe not, Dog the Bounty Hunter will find her and send her back. Go get 'em St. Martin and Mount. Should be like shooting fish in a barrel to snag RB, RP and PL.
Just Sayin,
I'm not arguing with you, but you must be a lot more tech savvy than I am. I was under the impression that nobody but the blog operator could see who was leaving comments and where they were being sent from.
I've said before that I won't out anybody writing under a pseudonym (including Rage), but out of curiosity I've often wondered who he is, and I've got no freaking clue. I guess I need a tutorial.
You know, you folks are being pretty tough on Lykos. Seriously, all she did was display that she was "imcompetent" and have a bad interview with the press. Answer is easy--and no investigation or hearing is required--suspend her without pay for a week, demote her, and make her work the desk for 2 weeks. All should be fine.
Please say you're going to post a link to the report that was on channel 13 tonight at 10.....music to everyone's ears. Former DA's coming in to testify tomorrow.
Roger has quit working on his Judicial campaign and is seeking advice on how to distance himself from D A office.Look for some resignations from upper management.Open records requests will show how much overtime has been claimed by several people.
Ha! Lykos at the desk is even funnier than Lykos screaming and turning red in court. Good one! I'm cracking up.
Turn out the lights the party's over.......
I have been told by several higher-ups (long before this whole thing went down) that they record all grand jury proceedings. I think the justification was to have some recourse if there was a rogue prosecutor. Regardless, I would not put it past Lykos at all to use this technology to learn about the investigation. So if you're reading this 185th, please consider meeting somewhere other than 1201 Franklin.

This is just the beginning....

Rage"
The chickenshit who calls himself Rage uses the IP address of 208.254.130.22 which can be traced back to the Harris County Technology Center. Perhaps with the expected onslaught of open records requests that will be forthcoming one might consider calling this turd's bluff.

Just Sayin,
Contact me off blog. The information I have doesn't jibe with yours. Let's talk. I won't burn you on identity. Create a gmail account if you want.
Considering how you've ragged on the Chron over the years, this in entertaining!
