The Grand Jury should indict her for aggravated ugly.

Scapegoating--how professional.

Talk about a deer in the headlights look; except this "deer" appeared, at least on the video, to have either consumed adult beverages prior to the interview - did Oberg have a BAT van available for standarization of sampling - or was she so unprepared for the questions that she essentially went "blank."? Has the weight of the job so consumed the District Attorney that she appears as she did in the interview - look at the District Attorney's homepage for comparison of picture to evaluate whether the heat maybe getting too hot in the kitchen? The happy face is now gone!

What happened to RP's motto of "look good and win"? Did RP not pass on that bit of Jr. League advice to PL?!?!

Thanks Murray for another article.I just went to click 2 Houston and Khou and they didn't feature the story, which I thought was strange (I did see Lycos on the evening news). Hopefully Lycos and her DA's will be punished...disgraceful.I guess I shouldn't be to shocked we're talking Pat Lycos here...UGH!

Pitiful response from DA Lykos. She doesn't know what happened in the Grand Jury when her top Assistants were there? Really? They wouldn't tell her? Pat, unless you knew what happened, how could you have filed motions with the District Court Judge and later with the Court of Criminal Appeals if you didn't ask them what happened. Ted, why didn't you ask the salient question-was she was retaliating against former HPD employee Culberson by cancelling the contract at Lonestar College?

FYI, we have been told not to present cases to Grand Jury tomorrow. That should help our dockets.

You'd need a shovel to put on enough makeup to improve her looks. Regardless of looks, her lack of "transparency" and disingenuous answers were patently obvious.

Before the piece aired my first thought was, 'OK so who will she throw under the bus?' It was Chief McClelland. Nothing like improving relations between HPD and HCDA. Way to go Pat...tell some lies and then blame the PD for your actions.

Anon 9:16,

Really? By e-mail? That would be kind of huge.

Patsy, Patsy, Patsy....

When you told the citizens you wanted transparency in your office, did that include dodging questions??

What you want DPS to do has nothing to do with the question: do you have doubts as to the accuracy from BAT vans?

Even you in your pathetic attempt as a judge would have sustained a non-responsive objection.

You are awesome!

She doesn't know what happened it the grand jury is the funniest part. Not only is that completely false, any baby prosecutor knows how you answer that question..."by law, grand jury proceedings are secret, so I can't comment on that." But Lykos never was, nor is now an actual prosecutor. The more that woman gets put in front of a camera, the more Harris County knows the vindictive space cadet we have been dealing with for almost 3 years. More tv interviews Patty!

Murray 9:27, this administration puts nothing in an email. I promise there is no hard copy regarding Anon: 9:16 post.

My biggest worry is for Murray. If Lykos keeps sabotaging herself, and a credible DA gets elected, he will have nothing to blog about and this blog will wither on the vine. Murray...you should be donating to her re-election campaign!

That was awesome; I'm speechless. All of Houston just saw the real Pat (“apparently” post Jack, cluessless - yet placing blame). By firing subsequently firing Amanda, Lone Star and now HPD, Patsy infers there have been problems with the machines since the day they were purchased. Does that mean ALL tests to date should be voided? She then contradicts herself by waving the report that (is not really scientific) that says well maintained machines that were set up properly could take accurate readings (even if they had been hot at a time in the past). Note to team Pat - Amanda never said that once a machine was hot it would have to be trashed – rather Amanda (and others) was concerned with how the machine was being reset and maintained while in the field – something the report did not address. WOW - no wonder she doesn't want any cases presented to the Grand Jury this week.

BTW although RP's "look good and win" motto works at the JUNIOR league it is ineffective in the MAJOR league - both RP and PL are looking real bad and keep digging a deeper hole for the DA's office in this matter. Good looks are no match for the truth in real life. The truth will prevail!!!

That's Pat. Retaliate those who make you look bad. Now, you went too far. Mmmmm, think there might e-mails and memos?

"We were never informed that there were questions about whether the test results were valid." - Patricia R. Lykos

Boy, what a bold statement, Ms. Lykos. It sure would be bad if a prosecutor or HPD had a document stating otherwise.

Heed the advice of your mother: Never say never.

The Diabolical Duo--Patsy V. Chucky:

1.Chucky gets hammered on duty with vodka.
Patsy gets hammered on duty with Jack and Coke.

2.Chucky can't remember what happened to his emails.
Patsy can't remember Jack.

3.Chucky can hardly argue to the Supreme Court.
Patsy can hardly breathe.

4. Chucky screwed his sweet thang at work.
Patsy screws her entire staff.

5. Chucky would throw his mother under the bus to cover his ass.
Patsy is Chuck's mother and would do the same.

Just Sayin'

It is probably against the County policy to check the comments on this blog during work hours on a county computer, but the kind Harris County web administrator has been blocking access, not to the blog, but to the comments following SOME posts. I just find that very interesting. Of course, one can wait until they get home.

Pat Lykos appears to be on the Rosenthal fast track with that performance. Meds, booze or both?
Regardless, she's cracking. Her smoke filled lungs were in over drive as she labored to breathe and focus.....doing poorly at both. For Judge Pat to demonstrate that degree of anxiety there must be a big pile of cover-up haunting her.

First off, that is just sad. Secondly, good thing most of us have smart phones.

Rock on, Patty! Like a good train-wreck, we can't avert our eyes.

NOW is the time for a Republican challenger against Lykos to get in the game...she is as vulnerable as she has ever been and a viable candidate needs to horn in immediately. Someone get Brock Thomas on the phone!!!

Anonymous said...

Everbody relax. Chow-Chow will take care of things.

I hear HC has been granted permission to install hand-sanitizer stations next to the water coolers.

Once we get those in place, all will be forgotten and forgiven.

Brock is running for judge...It's Mike Anderson that needs to be getting the calls....

Pat-
For the love of God, sit like the lady you pretend to be. How disgraceful!

Who is the elderly lady in the video?

Anons 9:54 and 12:59:

Emotional favorites aside; objectively which potential candidate would be the most viable to run against Patsy Lykos?

Factors to consider would include:
1. Name recognition
2. Ability to raise serious money
3. Thick skinned enough to endure the Lykos dirt machine
4. A strong contemporaneous performance record as a prosecutor
5. Able to secure law enforcement's endorsement
6. Avoidance of negative voter perception regarding criminal defense attorneys

Lykos' behavior stuck a fork in the Rosenthal hunting dog--he can't shit on a real prosecutor in 2012.

Pettyness aside, who best fits that bill?

Wouldn't Vic be a hoot as DA?

I was wondering as to the whereabouts of DA Investigator Joe W. Strange? Lights, camera, and action!
