Jose Medellin was just executed in Huntsville.
I don't really want to turn this into a Chronicle-esque message board debate, but I'm very comfortable with dealing with the possibility of being mistreated in another country in exchange for this disgusting piece of crap finally getting what he deserved.
I'm not as big of a death penalty enthusiast as many folks that I know, although I do strongly support it. However, the Ertman-Pena murders are exceptional in their brutality and sadness.
Medellin needed to be executed, and the "international outrage" can be damned, in my opinion.
And that's pretty much all I have to say about that topic.

Yeah, everyone's all "outraged" cuz he wasn't given a chance to talk to his consulate. But didn't the record indicate on appeal that he had been asked like 4 TIMES if he wanted the State to contact his damn consulate and he kept saying, "no," because he kept insisting he's a citizen and has lived here his whole miserable excuse of a gangsta life? The international community is just offended that we told them to shut their holes. If you don't like what we did then invade. Otherwise, shut up all ready.
The world court can send in their army if they want. This coward should have faced his fate long ago.
I adopt everything you just said.
