here on KHOU.com about the mother of a sexual assault of a child victim who found herself charged with Failure to Report Child Abuse after criticizing the handling of her daughter's case.
Her allegation is that it was retaliation.
I can't imagine Lykos and the Gang being quite so stupid as to charge her just for that.
Or can I?

Okay, so using the DA's logic to arrest the mother for knowing he was a sexual predator and not acting, shouldn't the DA over the case and the police also have warrants issued for their arrest since they did nothing when he confessed to the crime? Doesn't the DA's office have enough cases already, why create more? Sheesh, just sheesh.
Rather hard to have an opinion based on a news-report with no real allegations disclosed. On it's face, it sounds awful. But what is in the PC statement? The article makes it sound like she knew her daughter was assaulted so she packed up and left, but didn't report. And then another child was molested. It was then that the daughters case came to light. We need more info.
Why does the name Oncken ring a bell?
That Oncken (personification of evil) will do anything to further her own agenda. I'm not real familiar with Lykos as most of you all are, but I know her tactics too well and let me tell you all... She is the worst (or the best depending on which side of the table you are on) at a witch hunt.
The Child Abuse unit at the DA Office is run by playing on the fears of the families and the sympathies of juries. Ask any officer or CPS caseworker at the CAC and they will tell you what a bully she is...
I would not put it past her to do this just to prove a point and score some favors with the Admin.
Just gotta believe there is more to this story.
Don't worry, Jig. There is A LOT more to the story. Not that KHOU or anyone else will tell you what the mother actually did in this case... That would make it more difficult to complain about the DAO.
That is jacked up. Is anyone even considering this child? She's already been molested by her father and now has no father b/c he's doing time. Like that wasn't scarring enough, now you want to take away her mother?
The real sad thing is that this kind of behavior goes on all the time and we don't hear about it. I hope somebody goes after these people.
